11(1)A provision in a franchise agreement purporting to restrict the application of the law of New Brunswick or to restrict jurisdiction or venue to a forum outside New Brunswick is void with respect to a claim otherwise enforceable under this Act in New Brunswick.

11(2)Subsection (1) does not apply to a claim if an action based on the claim was commenced before February 1, 2011.
